PASRR and
Isolation, Connection, and Behavioral Health: Lessons from the Pandemic as the World Reopens
During this presentation we will discuss the impact of social isolation on the older adult and how the pandemic forced health workers and the entire world to acknowledge it as a serious threat to the physical and mental health of older adults. We will also discuss how some PASRR and health care workers experienced “occupational isolation”, and felt disconnected from the workplace, each other and clients.
We will present information that supports the benefits of connection and purpose for both the PASRR population that we serve as well as the healthcare worker population. We will focus on solution oriented information to mitigate the tremendous impact of this historic time period on client and provider alike.
