Symptoms of serious mental illnesses (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression) and dementias (Alzheimer's Disease, vascular dementia, dementia with Lewy body, and frontotemporal dementia) can have a great deal of overlap—and the two types of disorders are associated in some people. This webinar includes research on prevalence and incidence rates of serious mental illnesses and dementias, discusses aspects of differential diagnosis between them, and presents recovery-oriented treatment approaches.
